Prorated standings for the season

Through games as of December 2nd, 2014

The Atlantic Division clearly won't give up without a fight, retrieving the top spot from the Central Division this week. All fifteen above average teams are on pace for a playoff spot right now, and the Rangers can once again thank the latest re-alignment for the final spot, despite only being the 18th best team. The Winnipeg Jets are currently on the outside looking in, even though they have the 16th best record.

The best three teams in the League so far are all from the Eastern Conference, but they also have five of the six worst (Edmonton in 30th being the lone exception). This means that the Western Conference occupy 13 of the 21 spots in-between. There's terrific competition for the 2nd spot League-wide. Pittsburgh is still at the top, on pace for five more points than the runner-up. The following six teams are within four.

* Edit: As mentioned on the Power Rankings page, I will add an extra dimension too this page as well, this week. We're talking about more specified records for each team. Instead of the normal W-L-OTL format, this one uses a RW-OW-SW-SL-OL-RL format. I won't assign points, because they're irrelevant to the real standings. As you can see, the first three numbers equal W, the following two equal OTL, and the last one equals L.

Rank (for teams ranked 1st to 3rd) / Opponent (for wild-card teams) - Team - Prorated Points - Prorated ROWs - Letter Grade - Record so far - Points percentage - Differentiated Records (RW-OW-SW-SL-OL-RL)

Wow, this would be the most points for top teams ever if it continues this way. 8 teams with 110 points or more. Wow.

RTG 04.12.2014 21.47

Yes, like in your first power rankings this season, 7 teams would get 164 points.

Øyvind Schiøtt 04.12.2014 21.42

Yeah, last season five teams managed 110 or more points. As regression will set in, I'm not sure the number stays that high for the rest of the season, though.

I'm doing a couple of concerts next weekend, so I'm not sure if I manage to get anything done this week, either, but I'll give it a shot...

It doesn't mean that I'm giving up, but I'd be surprised if I managed to catch up ahead of the playoffs. No comment from people has made me neglect it further.

Thanks, pal. I'm doing fine, but my schedule is terrible. Well, sort of... I'm extremely busy, and I just haven't had the time to keep up with this.

Unfortunatly, there are no more updates. I hope you are doing fine. I miss your power ranking :)
